PARIS — Several people made their first post-indictment appearances in Oxford County Superior Court on Thursday before Justice Robert Clifford.

Christopher J. Beaulieu, 34, of Cross Street in Bethel, pleaded not guilty to aggravated criminal trespass and assault. Beaulieu is accused of breaking into the home of Telstar Regional High School science teacher and girls’ lacrosse coach James Lunney on Mechanic Street in April.

Lunney told police that he woke up to find Beaulieu intoxicated and cooking breakfast in his kitchen. He said Beaulieu refused to leave and assaulted him as he was calling 911.

Jacob James Goddard, 21, of Cottage Street, Norway, pleaded not guilty to four counts of gross sexual assault. Goddard is accused of raping a 15-year-old girl in April and May of 2008 in Waterford.

Jennifer A. Hodgkins, 29, of Tainter Corner Road in Carthage, pleaded not guilty to aggravated assault and reckless conduct. Hodgkins is charged with striking 44-year-old Sharon Gardner in the head with a metal pipe in Mexico last October, causing serious injuries.

Gardner is the ex-girlfriend of Hodgkins’ boyfriend. Hodgkins told police that Gardner had been harassing her and her boyfriend for seven months before the assault.

Jeremy D. Stedman, 39, of McCrillis Brook Road in Bethel, pleaded not guilty to eluding an officer, operating under the influence, criminal speed, operating after suspension, driving to endanger, marijuana cultivation, unlawful possession of marijuana and violation of bail conditions. Stedman is charged with leading police on a high-speed chase in February while intoxicated, driving from Route 232 in Milton Township to the Gore Road in Woodstock before surrendering.

While conducting a bail check at Stedman’s residence five days after his arrest, police found that rooms at his house had been set up to grow and dry marijuana. The search seized 92 marijuana plants, over a pound of processed marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and $224 in cash.
