The Mechanic Falls Historical Society will host an evening of bluegrass sound and musical variety at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, May 8, at Congregational Hall, 64 Elm St., Mechanic Falls. The musically-enriched Malcolm Clan, along with Bruce Hobart of Mechanic Falls, will perform. The group has been entertaining New England audiences for years and features an ensemble of musical instruments including fiddle, guitar, mandolin, banjo, piano and organ. The public is welcome. There is no admission charge but donations are welcome to benefit the historical society.
