PORTLAND, Maine (AP) — Boston Red Sox outfielder Jacoby Ellsbury will return to a Portland Sea Dog uniform while on a rehab assignment.

Ellsbury was playing Monday for Triple-A Pawtucket. Then on Tuesday, as Pawtucket hits the road, Ellsbury was to play at Hadlock Field.

Ellsbury has been out since suffering a rib injury in an outfield collision with Red Sox third baseman Adrian Beltre on April 11 in Kansas City.

Ellsbury played for the Dogs in 2006 and 2007, before joining the Red Sox.
