CASCO — Anita Durrschmidt Schaff, 89, loving wife of the late Leonard J. Schaff, died Sunday, May 16, in Casco.

She was born in Hartford, Conn., Dec. 6, 1920.

Surviving are three sons, James Schaff and his wife, Brenda, Robert F. Schaff and his wife, Robyn and Leonard J. Schaff Jr. and his wife, Michelle; six grandchildren, Edward Schaff and his wife, Rebecca, Adam Schaff and his partner, Rebecca Schafer, Danielle Schaff Turchin and her husband, Todd, Daniel Schaff and his wife, Nique, Rebecca Schaff and Deborah Bowers and her husband, David; two great-grandchildren, Logan Alexander James Turchin and Owen Edward Schaff; her niece, Dorothy Ann Clock and her husband, Charles; their two sons, Paul Clock and his wife, Julie and David Clock and his wife, Michelle and their two children, Bailey and Connor; her sister-in-law, Althea Louis; her seven children; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The Schaff family wishes to give particular thanks to Anita’s many friends in the Casco, Otisfield and Lisbon areas that were so much a part of her life. Particular heartfelt thanks are extended to the entire staff of Country Village Assisted Living in Casco for their exceptional care provided during Anita’s extended stay at their facility.
