Boxberry School students have been learning about good nutrition. In addition to learning about the food pyramid, students have also been learning about local history and maybe one of its most treasured resources: agriculture. Recently, students visited Carter’s Farm in Oxford to prepare the soil for planting potatoes. All students took turns hoeing a valley, placing cut-up potatoes at intervals and covering them with hills of dirt. Students Katie Toohey, 6, left, and and Aiden McMahon, 5, are pictured hoeing a hill.
