Fundraiser

SOUTH PARIS — A yard sale fundraiser will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday and Friday, May 27 and 28, at 659 Park St.

Donations and volunteers are needed. The fundraiser benefits the Families in Crisis Task Force programs. For more information, call Peggy at 357-7072.

Memorial Day service

PARIS — The First Baptist Church of Paris will have a Memorial Day service to honor all veterans, at 10:30 a.m Sunday, May 30, beside the Common on Paris Hill.

The service will include poems, music, readings and a message from the Rev. Melvin Young, himself a veteran. All who come are welcome to bring photos of their family and friends who have served in the armed forces (past and present).

The photos will be on display during the service and fellowship hour.

Society meeting

OXFORD — The Oxford Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Friday, May 28, at the Kay House Museum on Pleasant Street.

Following a short business meeting, the program will be presented by the Hanna F. Richardson Tent 19 of Stoneham, Daughters of Union Veterans of Civil War. Refreshments will follow.

Lawn sale

NORWAY — A lawn sale will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, May 29 and 30, next to Norway Church of the Nazarene, 14 Grove St. All proceeds will go towards youth group activities. For more information, call Pastor Shawn at 393-7960.

Annual sale

LIVERMORE FALLS — The annual inside lawn sale at Eaton Memorial United Methodist Church will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 29. It will be held rain or shine.

Grange fundraiser

WILSON MILLS — The Aziscoos Grange 402 will have its annual yard sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m Friday and Saturday, May 28 and 29. The Grange sponsors and helps support many local community projects. The Grange will continue to sponsor several scholarships to benefit local area students.

The sale will be held at the Grange Hall, 252 Wilsons Mills Road, and inside of the Wilson Mills Fire Station.
