Incident report statistics: Between May 30 at 6 p.m. and June 6 at 6 p.m., officers responded to 81 complaints. Basic traffic stops are not given a complaint number.
Criminal mischief
On June 1 at 9:50 a.m., a Spruce Street resident reported $200 damage to three windows on his camper done sometime in the last two weeks. The case is under investigation.
Theft
On June 1 at 10:32 a.m., Franklin Street resident reported theft of a $150 Apple iPod at Mountain Valley High School. The case is under investigation.
On June 1 at 3:49 p.m., Ellis River Road resident reported theft of medication from his residence. The case is under investigation.
On June 3 at 11:26 p.m., Urquhart Street resident reported theft of a $100 bicycle. The bicycle was recovered, and the case remains under investigation.
On June 4 at 10:25 a.m., Mountain Valley High School reported theft of a $1,000 Apple computer. Student reported the laptop has been missing since mid-April. The case is under investigation.
Arrests/summonses
On June 1 at 12:16 p.m., Aaron Griffin, 23, of Rumford was arrested on a warrant for failure to pay fines for disorderly conduct. Griffin posted $125 cash bail and was released.
On June 3 at 11:57 p.m., Mark Ambrose, 35, of Rumford was arrested on a probation violation. Ambrose wasn’t permitted bail and was transported to the Oxford County Jail.
On June 4 at 10:30 p.m., Jeffrey Maurais, 44, of Rumford was summonsed for disorderly conduct, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia on Penobscot Street. Maurais is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Aug. 3.
On June 4 at 10:45 p.m., Joshua Blodgett, 19, of Rumford was summonsed for violation of conditions of release on Maine Avenue. Blodgett is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Aug. 3.
Crash
On June 6 at 12:10 a.m., a 2007 Chevrolet owned and operated by Mindi-Sue Harris, 35, of Rumford was traveling on the Isthmus Road and lost control of the vehicle after avoiding a moose. The vehicle went down an embankment through a wooded area and rolled over. The vehicle is considered a total loss at $8,000.
Wanted
Tausha Plante, 33, of Rumford is wanted ona Rumford District Court warrant dated April 6 for failure to pay fines for theft.
