GRAY — Over the years, popular Maine humorist Tim Sample has performed thousands of shows in venues as diverse as the Los Angeles Convention Center, the Mall of America, the New York Yacht Club and the Caribou Performing Arts Center.

Saturday, June 19, he will give two family-friendly, 50-minute shows between 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. at the Maine Wildlife Park.

Also that day, representatives of the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife will be on hand from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wildlife and fisheries biologists, safety officers, hatchery staff and game wardens will talk about their fishery, wildlife, safety and enforcement programs and projects.

The event will take place, rain or shine.

The park, which has 30-plus species of native wildlife on display, plus wildlife gardens, nature trails, a fish hatchery and other interactive exhibits, is on Route 26.

The park is open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. through Nov. 11; visitors must leave the premises by 6 p.m. Admission is free for ages 3 and under; $5 for ages 5-12; $7 for adults, and $5 for seniors. Groups of 15 or more pay $3.50 per person.
