PITTSTON — Neighbors of a Maine fairgrounds say they’ve had enough of mud runs.

Neighbors of the Pittston fairgrounds complained of everything from low flying helicopters buzzing cattle to the noise, to the traffic to people urinating in public.

The Pittston Fair Association’s annual 4X4 Mud Fest was held last weekend.

Neighbor Iris Erskine says a helicopter hovered over her cows just to see them run.

After Erskine complained, a sheriff’s deputy told the operator to stop.

Fair Association Vice President Peter Weeks tells the Kennebec Journal he thought the weekend went well, except for the wet and cold.
