NORWAY — The Norway Recreation Department will offer a Junior Tennis Clinic for ages 8 to 18. The clinic will be held from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, June 29 to July 22, at the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School tennis courts.
There is a limit of 12 students, but another hour will be offered from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. if more than 12 sign up.
The clinic will be taught by Walter Perry with help from high school tennis players. The fee is $75; a portion of the fee will go to the upkeep of the Town of Norway tennis courts.
Participants will be divided up by age level and ability. The focus will be on basic strokes and learning to rally. Rules of the game using skills drills for technique and agility will also be included.
Registration forms are available at www.norwaymaine.com and the Town Office. For more information, contact Parks and Recreation Director Deb Partridge.
