LEWISTON — The Sexual Assault Crisis Center is celebrating its 25th year of service to survivors and the community. To commemorate the milestone, the organization is conducting a raffle of its 25th anniversary quilt.
The quilt is named “Celestial Celebration” and was made by Betsy Dorr of Quiltessentials. The quilt, made to fit a full-sized bed, is in blues and greens. The stars in the quilt honor the people affected by sexual assault who have worked to heal from the trauma imposed on them, and the circles surrounding the stars represent the caring community who provide support to those survivors.
The quilt can be seen at Quiltessentials on Minot Avenue in Auburn. Raffle tickets are available at Quiltessentials or through the SACC office. The winning ticket will be drawn at the SACC board meeting on June 23.
