THOMASTON — Douglas Kennedy, son of Donald and Sarah Kennedy of Livermore Falls and Megan Orff of Waldoboro were married May 15 at the First Baptist Church of Thomaston.

Jeff Newcomb of Livermore Falls stood as best man. Jessica Heath of Union was maid of honor. The nephew of the bridegroom, Luke Peabody, was an usher for the ceremony.

The family of the bridegroom arranged the rehearsal dinner. His sister, Sharon Peabody, made a chocolate-covered strawberry cake. The dinner also served as a 50th birthday celebration for the bridegroom’s brother, Ted Kennedy. Cindy, Erin and Maddie Kennedy, Dale and Hannah Peabody, Jocelyn and Heather Kennedy helped cook, clean and decorate the church for the party.

 The couple resides in Rockland.
