STANDISH — The Schoolhouse Arts Center at Sebago Lake will present “West Side Story,” the hit musical revolving around the Jets and the Sharks, two street gangs of teens living in New York City.

Set in the mid-1950s, “West Side Story” is the classic “Romeo and Juliet” love story. Music by Leonard Bernstein, with lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, includes such popular hits as “Maria,” “Tonight” and “I Feel Pretty.”

Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. on July 2, 3, 8, 9, 10 and 17; and at 5 p.m. on July 4, 11, and 18. Tickets are $18 for adults, $16 for students and seniors. For tickets, call 642-3743 or visit www.schoolhousearts.org.

There will be a champagne gala and opening night celebration on June 30; tickets are $30 per person.

Schoolhouse Arts Center is on Route 114, just north of Routes 114 and 35.
