AUBURN — Roberta M. Tripp, 62, of 5 Dale St. in Poland, died Wednesday morning, June 16, at The Hospice House, with family at her side. She was born in Lewiston on Dec. 1, 1947, a daughter of C.R. Crockett Sr. and Viola Mayberry. She was educated in local schools and remained a lifelong resident of this community. On Sept. 28, 1967, she married Mr. Raymond Tripp in Lewiston and together they settled here to raise their children. She first worked 12 years at Hillcrest Poultry and later worked 17 years at LePage Bakeries until her retirement. Among her favorite enjoyments in her free time were spending quality times with her family, playing Bingo, crocheting and putting together puzzles. She was a loving, devoted and hard-working wife, mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed.

She leaves her husband of 42 years, Raymond Tripp of Poland; three daughters, Arlene Cobb and husband, Bruce Cobb Sr. of Hebron, Diane Tripp of Poland, and Karen Washburn of Topsham; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Violet Crowley and husband, Robert, of Lewiston and Rhonda Mayberry of Lewiston; two brothers Henry, “Pete” Mayberry of Lewiston, and Brian Mayberry of Auburn; several nieces and nephews; and her favorite pets, Peanut, Katie and Dickie.

She was predeceased by a son, Raymond Tripp Jr.
