DURHAM — Durham Elementary School will move one step closer to being history on Saturday with a giant yard sale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. rain or shine.
It’s the liquidation of the contents of the building: School desks, furniture, fixtures, office equipment and much more.
“Prices are marked to move, all items must be sold and no reasonable offer will be refused,” said Regional School Unit 5 yard sale coordinator Monica Millhime. For further information, call 353-6171 or e-mail [email protected]
Demolition of the 50-year-old school is expected to begin in early July.
The new 28-room school has geothermal heating and cooling. The Durham Community School will be dedicated in formal ceremonies Aug. 25. The time will be announced later.
