LEWISTON — Robert J. Long, 66, of 100 Campus Ave., died unexpectedly at his home on June 18.

He was born in Fort Kent, Nov. 27, 1943, the son of Gerard and Cecile (Rossignol) Long. He graduated fom Lewiston High School and later attended Wright State University in Ohio.

He was a self-taught technology wiz helping his family and friends with their computers and also helping residents at Maison Marcotte with all kinds of electronics.

He had a love for country music, watching football and NASCAR, attending car shows and drag races, and especially being with his family and friends.

He is survived by his father of Lisbon; his brothers, Norm and wife, Dolly, of Lewiston, Brian and wife, Kathy, of Sabattus, Jim and wife, Jackie, of Turner and John and wife, Kim, of Scarborough; his sister, Doris Williams and companion, Howie, of Cassville, N.Y.; his sister-in-law, Nancy Long of Lewiston; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his mother; his sister, Geraldine Whitmore; and his brother, Joseph “Moose” Long.
