PARIS — Paris Parks and Recreation has announced the summer concert in the park children’s concerts. All shows will be held 10 a.m. Wednesdays, in Moore Park unless otherwise noted. In the event of rain, the South Paris Elementary School will be the alternative location.
June 30: Todd Brodeur, aka Frisbee Man, will present “A World Class Frisbee Show.” He will show the audience tricks and catches he has learned throughout his lifetime using a collection of unique Frisbees. An interactive play shop will allow the audience the opportunity to try some of the Frisbee tricks and catches.
July 7: The Little Red Wagon will perform “The Green Team Adventure in Who Cares?” When the planet needs fixing and everybody is too busy to notice, the Green Team will tackle the problem with fun and simple solutions that everyone can follow.
July 14: Jason and Matthew Tardy will perform their high energy juggling skills and physical comedy. There will be a lot of audience participation.
July 21: Storyteller Antonio Rocha will perform at the Paris Elementary School. Rocha will use mime to activate the audience’s imaginations through rich symbolism and imagery.
July 28: T-Bone, who has been called “America’s Pied Piper,” will perform, sharing his blend of music and mayhem with the audience. T-Bone will lead the children in song and dance. There will be costumes and games to play that include beach balls, hula hoops and limbo sticks.
Aug. 4: Mad Science will perform at the Paris Elementary School. The scientist will entertain the children through interactive science experiments.
Aug. 11: Rick Charette will return with a performance. His songs, “Bubble Gum” and “Mud” have entertained generations of children. In the event of rain, the show will be at the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School in the forum.
Aug. 18: The summer concert series will end with Dan Grady. Grady will bring his family of marionettes, which he designed and crafted, to perform to lively music as Grady and his puppets mingle in the audience. In the event of rain, the location will be the Paris Fire Station on Western Avenue.
Attendees may bring chairs or a blanket. If bringing snacks, concert-goers are asked to collect any wrappers or other waste before leaving.
