OTISFIELD — The Otisfield Comprehensive Plan Update Committee has scheduled a town-wide visioning session to be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, July 8, at the Otisfield Community School.

“The purpose of the session is to get a wide variety of opinions and viewpoints about what is special about Otisfield and needs to be preserved, and what needs to change and improved in the years ahead,” said Planning Committee Chair Cheryl Cook. “Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend. The more citizens participate, the better the product will be.”

The session will be facilitated by the Androscoggin Valley Council of Governments and will consist of a series of exercises and discussions about the future of Otisfield. It is the first step in the updating of the 2004 comprehensive plan for the town.

Otisfield residents, taxpayers and municipal officials who are interested in attending are asked to call Marianne at the Town Office at 539-9101, so the committee can have an advance idea of attendance.
