RUMFORD — Mrs. Maine-America Christine Blake will be a guest speaker on Saturday, July 10, at the third annual Rumford Eagles Classic Car and Motorcycle Display, which benefits breast cancer patients in Maine.
Blake will speak at 12:30 p.m. on various health topics such as fitness, nutrition and healthy living. She will also sell raffle tickets for a chance to win four tickets to a Red Sox game on July 17.
The car show will start at noon with live music from 1 to 4 p.m. Hamburgers, hot dogs, soda and French fries will be available for purchase. There will be a Sock Hop from 7 to 11 p.m. in the Eagles Function Hall with music from the 1950s and 1960s. The cost for the Sock Hop is $5. Members and guests are welcome.
More raffles will be available for various prizes and all money raised will support the Eagles Pink Sock Foundation, which works directly with the Maine Breast Cancer Coalition.
Blake will compete in Tucson, Ariz., in September, for the Mrs. America title.
