PARIS — On Saturday, July 10, Celebration Barn Theater will showcase the trapeze, juggling and comedic skills of Amanda Crockett and Daniel Forlano.

Crockett started clowning alongside her father at age 9, learning the delicate art of making people laugh. Since then, her pursuit of the perfect blend of circus and physical theater has taken her to venues worldwide. Highlight appearances include La Bauta in Venice, Italy, Shanghai’s Oriental Arts Center, the Moscow International Circus, the Moisture Festival, Cirque Voila, the Edinburgh Festival, the Tasmanian National Circus Festival and the Krystallpalast Varieté in Leipzig, Germany, where she won the Audience Choice award in the 2009 Newcomers Show.

A graduate of the Dell’Arte International School of Physical Theatre, Crockett has had the good fortune to train with such renowned teachers as Helene Turcotte, Lu Yi, Rodleigh Stevens, Avner Eisenburg, Julie Goell, Tony Montanaro and Keith Johnstone. Currently, she is a company member with Aloft in Chicago and a cast member in the company’s “El Circo Cheapo Cabaret.”

Forlano graduated from Hampshire College, where he studied theater and dance performance and mysticism. His senior seriocomic monologue, “In Stitches,” brought return audiences and won him a grant to continue work on stage. When his college adviser wrote him a recommendation to Harvard University, he decided comedy was a smarter option. He has since performed in clubs, cabarets, theaters and festivals worldwide. Recently, he played the lead role in the short film “Eugene,” which won Best Student Film at the Rhode Island International Film Festival.

The show, suitable for the entire family, will begin at 8 p.m. Tickets are $14 for adults, $12 for seniors, $8 for students and children. Seating is general admission. Call 743-8452.
