DIXFIELD — The Neighborly Senior Citizens met on June 16 at the Dixfield Legion with 54 present. The meeting was called to order by President Connie Tutlis, followed by readings by Treasurer Bob Richard.
Members brought in items for the Chinese auction that were then used at the annual Triad picnic on June 25.
Patty Duguay from River Valley Healthy Communities spoke to the group about services provided to people in the area. Sue Goulet from the Rumford Community Home was also present and invited all to the Lunch and Learn which will be held on Thursday, July 22, at the Rumford Community Home.
Observing June birthdays were Larry and Edna Kerr. Observing their 63rd anniversary were Leland and June Merchant. Door prize winners were Nila Martineau and Steve Hatch.
The next meeting will be on Wednesday, July 21, with nickel beano to follow. Beano will be open to the public. Doors will open at noon and beano will be played from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.
There is still room on the Lake Winnipesaukee trip, with a tentative date of Friday, Aug. 20. Neighborly Seniors will sell food at the Legion during the annual Dixfield Flea Market.
The next monthly nickel beano game open to the public will be held on Wednesday, July 7. Doors will open at noon and beano will go from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.
Neighborly Senior Citizens membership is open to anyone age 50 and over with a membership fee of $10 each year. New members are welcome. Fore more information, call Connie at 364-4189.
