LEWISTON — The Lewiston Adult Education summer semester will begin Tuesday, July 6, and run through Aug. 5. Academic, computer and other workforce training classes will be available. Courses are scheduled in the mornings, afternoons or evenings.
Academic courses will include Algebra, Biology, Chemistry and Critical Reading Strategies for College or Work. The courses count as credit towards a high school diploma and qualify as college or nursing school prerequisites.
Computer classes will include Absolute Beginner Computers, Computer Literacy, Microsoft Excel I and II, Microsoft Word and QuickBooks Workshop. Computer courses are taught by industry experts.
Medical office courses will include Medical Billing, Medical Coding and Medical Terminology. The courses count as credit towards the Medical Office Certificate.
