Class lunch
RUMFORD — Members of the Stephens High School class of 1952 will meet for their monthly luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Monday, July 5, at the home of Angie and Reggie Arsenault at Roxbury Pond. All members attending are asked to bring a dish to share or dessert.
Senior trip
BETHEL — July 14, the Bethel Senior Citizens Club will meet at the Bethel Area Health Center for their trip to Portland. The bus will leave promptly at 6:15 a.m. Reservations must be made before July 9 by calling Nancy at 824-3350 or Arlene at 824-2877. Cost of trip $33.
Bridge results
RUMFORD — Duplicate bridge was played June 30 at the Senior Center. Results are as follows: first, Jim Stewart and Ozzie Swett; second, Jessie Shea and Anna Cormier; third, Bob and Theresa Soucy. Anyone is welcome to join in the games at 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays, at the Senior Center on Congress Street.
Bible school
PERU — Children, ages 4 to 12, are welcome to attend “SonQuest Rain Forest” Vacation Bible School, to be held from 9 a.m. to noon, Monday to Friday, July 12 to 16, at the United Baptist Church of Peru.
There will be games, Bible stories, jungle adventures, crafts, snacks and songs. For preregistration or information, contact Naomi Farrar at 562-4989.
Veterans’ advocate
RUMFORD — The veterans’ advocate will not be at the Rumford VA Clinic on Thursday, July 8.
