AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) — Maine state police say an arrest has been made in the fatal stabbings of a boy and two men in a home in northern Maine.
A Maine State Police spokesman says 20-year-old Thayne Ormsby of Orient was charged Friday with three counts of murder. Ormsby was arrested on a fugitive from justice charge in Dover, N.H.
The discovery of the bodies on June 23 in a mobile home on U.S. 1 set people on edge in Amity, a town of 200 residents near the Canadian border. Killed were 55-year-old Jeffrey Ryan and his 10-year-old son, Jesse, who lived at the Amity home, and 30-year-old Jason Dehahn, a neighbor.
Ryan’s pickup truck was found set ablaze three days later.
