DURHAM — A local woman suffered a leg injury when she lost control of her motorcycle Wednesday night on Newell Brook Road.
Maine State Police Trooper Ricci Cote said Lena Hildebrandt, 45, lost control of the bike when she rounded a curve at the Swamp Road intersection, went off the right shoulder and struck a guardrail at about 7 p.m. He attributed the crash to driver inexperience.
Hildebrandt suffered a possible broken right leg and was taken to Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick by Durham Fire and Rescue. A spokesman said late Wednesday night that Hildebrandt was in stable condition.
Cote estimated damage to the 2003 Yamaha at $2,000.
