PORTLAND — Country music star Taylor Swift passed on the lobster, opting instead for a good ol’ burger on the waterfront of Maine’s largest city.

Visiting Maine for a video shoot, Swift spent most of the day Wednesday at Ram Island Farm in Cape Elizabeth and was later seen at a restaurant on Portland’s waterfront. On Thursday, Swift donned a wedding dress as the video project moved to a church in Kennebunk.

In Portland, Becky’s Diner owner Rebecca Rand says employees stayed late Wednesday night to make a hamburger for Swift and a lobster salad for her mother.

Rand told the Portland Press Herald that she could tell that the 20-year-old Swift is thoughtful and kind, and “was raised well by her parents.”
