AUBURN — The Corporate and Community Services Department at Central Maine Community College will offer a course on the recently revised US EPA requirements for lead renovation, repair and paint.

The one-day lead renovation and repair course will be offered on three different dates: Thursday, July 29; Friday, Sept. 17; and Friday, Oct. 1. Each course will run from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and costs $145, including materials and lunch.

Participants will learn the health effects and work practices associated with working with lead, as required by the US EPA and Maine law. General contractors, carpenters and painters are encouraged to attend.

The instructor will be Peter Crockett from the Maine Labor Group on Health.
