ANDOVER — The Andover Olde Home Days amateur photography contest will be exhibited Saturday, Aug. 7, downstairs in the Town Hall.

Photographers will be placed into four subject groups. Group A, color prints, portrait, animal, landscape, for photographers age 17 years and older; Group B, color and black and white, ages 11 to 16; Group C, color and black and white, ages 10 and under; and Group D, black and white prints, age 17 years and older.

There will be 147 ribbons awarded. One will be awarded for best of show, six will be grand prizes. There will also be first, second, third place and honorable mention awards.

Judging will be based on composition, subject matter, artistry, clarity and demonstrative. All photographs must be submitted at the Andover Town Hall no later than Wednesday, Aug. 4.

Dates and times for submitting photographs are: Saturday, July 31, 1 to 4 p.m.; Monday, Aug. 2, 5 to 7 p.m.; Wednesday, Aug. 4, 4 to 8 p.m.

Each photograph must have a name and address visibly printed on the reverse side of the photograph. If under 17 years, age should be listed. No photographs will be accepted with a name on the photo side. Only three photographs will be accepted in any one subject per person.

Anyone who has already won a first place ribbon in any of the past exhibits should not submit that photograph again. Photographs must be picked up by 3:30 p.m. on Aug. 7.
