People need to beware: Earth First! has come to Maine.

When I lived in northern California, Earth First! came into the area. They trespassed on private property, chained themselves to trees to prevent the trees from being harvested and/or climbed up the trees and tied and/or chained themselves up there for the same reason.

Even worse, they drove long spikes into trees so that anyone cutting them down or anyone working in the lumber mills could be seriously injured or killed.

They also sabotaged lumber trucks and blocked both public and private roads. All that and more, to “protect the trees.”

Of course, we know that no new trees will ever grow, so the ones we have must be protected.

Please do not do anything to support these radicals.
