EAST WILTON — The East Wilton Union Church will host its annual August “Concerts on the Lawn” series starting Sunday, Aug. 1. The public is invited. The “Concerts on the Lawn” are held at 6 p.m. each Sunday at the church, 1306 Main St.

Chairs are provided, but people may bring their own lawn chair or blanket. In case of inclement weather, the concerts will be held inside. Light refreshments and a time of fellowship will follow. The concerts are free, but there will be an opportunity for a free-will offering.

The concert schedule is as follows:

Aug. 1:  Journey Home, a family gospel group.

Aug. 8: Greater Purpose, a local gospel group.

Aug. 15: New Beginnings, a local gospel duo.

Aug. 22: Hyssongs, a family gospel trio.

Aug. 29: Heaven’s Blend, gospel singing pastors.
