STRATTON — The Dead River Area Historical Society’s pictorial 2011 calendars are available. The cover features Stratton High School Class of 1961 — 50 Years Ago with Vivian Brackett, Nancy Scribner, Joe Dube, Sheila Lander, Douglas Breault, Gene Currie, George Hicks, Richard Nile and Edith Gatchell.

The calendar photos include: January, Alder Stream Falls; February, Main Street, Stratton, 1948; March, the new Flagstaff Lake, with telephone poles sticking out of the lake; April, Duluth and Kenny Wing target practicing; May, Sybil Fotter, her parents Marshall and Lena Myers, with daughter-in-law Anna Smart and children Bobby and Brian.

June, Stratton Union Church and parsonage; July, fisher rips on the Dead River; August, Eustis Ridge, 1902; September, Eustis Village before and after the fire of 1903; October, Ed Kern with Eloise Knowlan; November, Arnold Falls on the Dead River, 1922; December, Lena Merrill and Ivah Palmer.

Calendars are available in Stratton at Pine’s Market, Northland Cash and Fotter’s Market. They may also be purchased through the mail for $6 plus $2 for postage for each calendar.
