OXFORD — After a successful visit last year, Robert Rogers of Mighty in the Land Ministry will appear at the Oxford Advent Christian Church at 9 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 8.

He will share a message through speaking and music on God’s faithfulness through trauma, grief and loss. An offering will be received.

In 2003, Rogers’ family van was swept off the road in a flash flood. His wife and four children drowned. Since then, he has begun a full-time ministry, sharing how God has worked in his life. His ministry also emphasizes the needs of orphans. An accomplished musician and worship leader, he has released several CDs of music, as well as his book, “Into the Deep.”
