WATERFORD — The Waterford Historical Society will sponsor a Tour of Barns from from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 14. Nine barns will be open to the public.

The price is $10 each person, children under 12 are free if accompanied by an adult. Tickets will be available on the day of the tour at the Old Town House on Routes 35 and 37, next to the public beach on Keoka Lake.

It will be a self-guided tour. A brochure, which also serves as the ticket, will have a brief description of the barns and a map. Someone will be at each site to provide a wealth of architectural and historical information.
