LEWISTON — The wedding of Chelsey April Shreve and Jeremy Dwight Payne was held at noon on July 12. The Rev. Richard Gregoire officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Payne is the daughter of Andrew and Carla Shreve of Hotchkiss, Colo. Mr. Payne is the son of Dwight and Ann Marie Payne of Lewiston.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a strapless ivory gown with Empire waistline, sweetheart neckline, short skirt in front and longer train in the back with flower appliques. She carried an assortment of purple roses and orchids.

A reception followed at the home of the bridegroom’s parents, after which the couple traveled to Old Orchard Beach. Following the return of the bridegroom from Iraq in 2011, the couple will reside in Colorado Springs, Colo.

The bride is working toward a bachelor’s degree in human biology.

The bridegroom attended the University of Southern Maine and is serving with the U.S. Army.
