DURHAM — An Auburn teen was was injured Tuesday afternoon when his car slammed into a utility pole on Auburn Pownal Road.

Androscoggin County Deputy Sheriff Travis Lovering said Jordan Casey, 18, was driving south on Auburn Pownal Road when he lost control of his car, went off the right shoulder and struck a utility pole.

He suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston by Durham Fire and Rescue.

Lovering estimated combined damage to the Central Maine Power pole and Casey’s demolished 1997 Toyota Camry at $10,000 in the 4 p.m. crash.
