Army Reserve Master Sgt. Marc L. Cyr is returning to the U.S. after a deployment to Iraq or Afghanistan in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom or Enduring Freedom, respectively.
The soldiers will return to Fort Dix, N.J., for debriefing, evaluations and out-processing procedures before returning to their regularly assigned Army Reserve or National Guard units.
The master sergeant served in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in the Iraq Theater of Operations. Cyr, a food service specialist, is a member of the 619th Transportation Company, Auburn. He has served in the military for 33 years.
His wife, Brenda, is the daughter of Verna Lasko of Auburn. In 1977, Cyr graduated from Edward Little High School.
