Three generations celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Italian Bakery at 225 Bartlett St. in Lewiston on Friday. The family business has been greeting customers with smiles and giveaways during the past week. Friends and customers have been writing their stories and well wishes in a book, with young family members holding signs offering free hugs. Bakery founder Frank Chiaravelotti talked about the early years when doughnuts were 60 cents a dozen and a loaf of Italian bread was 25 cents.
