WATERFORD – Frances P. Pike, 84, of Waterford, passed away Monday, Aug. 23 at her home, with her family by her side.

She was born in Ned, Ky. on Sept. 6, 1925, the daughter of Ambrose and Elissa Francis. She married Wendall A. Pike. She had been a homemaker and a caregiver all of her life and held a variety of manufacturing jobs.

She was a loving, giving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved her flower and vegetable gardens and building rock walls. She was an avid quilter. She enjoyed spending time with her close friend of many years, Chester Barker.

She is survived by her children, Ernest Pike and his significant other, Jan of Waterford, Brenda Bigonski and her husband, Charles of Waterford, Joan Christman and her husband, Ron of South Paris, Thomas Pike and his wife, Lynn of Oxford and Marie Keene and her longtime companion, Larry Roakes of Waterford; many, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; sisters, Bertha of Norway, Maude of New Hampshire and Mabel of Missouri; a brother, Ed of Washington; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband; and several brothers and sisters.

Pike-Died in Waterford August 23, 2010. Frances P. Pike, 84, of Waterford. At Mrs. Pike’s request services will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of Weston-Chandler Funeral Home 45 Main St., South Paris.
