JAY — There will be a special selectmen’s meeting at 7 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25,  at the Jay Town Office to set the tax rate. No other business will be conducted.

The meeting is being held at this time due to conflicts with schedules of other meetings for the selectmen who want to give the public as much time as possible before taxes are due. The first half of taxes will be due Oct. 1 and the second half on April 1, 2011.
