BOSTON — Samuel D. Kubic, 63, died Wednesday, Aug. 25, at Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston. He was a resident of Phillips Road in Weld.

Born in Holyoke, Mass. on Feb. 1, 1947, he was a son of Bruno and Wildene E. (Moores) Kubic. He attended schools in Mass. and graduated from Dixfield High School, class of 1965. He was a self-employed general contractor, which started with his father as Kubic & Son. He was a member of King Hiram Masonic Lodge No. 57, AF & AM, of Dixfield. He enjoyed the outdoors; especially with his granddaughter, Jade.

He was married in Rumford on July 23, 1977, to Cynthia Mae Virgin, who survives, of Weld. Other survivors include a granddaughter, Jade Kubic, of Mexico; and a daughter-in-law, Ericka Kubic, of Mexico.

He was predeceased by his parents and a son, Scott.
