Incident Report Statistics:

Between 6 a.m. Monday, Aug.16, and 6 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 29, patrol officers responded to 154 complaints.

Arrests/Summonses:

On Aug.17 – 4:02 p.m., Stephen Low, 55, of Rumford was charged by Ptl. Donald Miller on a warrant for assault and violating conditions of release on Congress Street. Low was unable to post bail and was transported to the Oxford County Jail.

On Aug.18 – 2:20 p.m., Ryan Deraspe, 32, of Rumford was charged by Cpl. Douglas Maifeld with allowing an unregistered motor vehicle to remain on a public way on Knox Street. Deraspe is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Nov. 2.

On Aug.19 – 2:55 p.m., Randy Wilber, 19, of Rumford was charged by Ptl. Lawrence Winson with operating after suspension on Route 108. Wilber is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Nov. 2.

On Aug. 23 – 11:30 a.m., James Eaton, 59, of Mexico was charged by Ptl. Lawrence Winson with domestic assault for an incident on Waldo Street. Eaton posted $1,000 unsecured bail and is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Oct. 5.

On Aug. 27 – 3:40 p.m., Amanda Spitzer, 29, of Rumford was charged by Ptl. Ian Theriault with operating a motor vehicle without a license on Mountain View Annex. Spitzer is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Oct. 5.

On Aug. 27 – 3:40 p.m. , James Spitzer, 22, of Rumford was charged by Ptl. Ian Theriault with allowing unauthorized operation of a motor vehicle on Mountain View Annex. Spitzer is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Oct. 5.

On Aug. 27 – 4:26 a.m., Deborah Bedard, 37, of Mexico was charged by Ptl. Lawrence Winson on a warrant for negotiating a worthless instrument on Rumford Avenue Bedard posted $100 cash bail and was released.

On Aug. 27– 8:52 p.m., Walter Fish, 25, of Rumford was charged by Ptl. Lawrence Winson with illegal possession of marijuana on Route 17 in Mexico at the weekend roadblock detail. Fish is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Oct. 5.

On Aug. 28 – 5:15 p.m., Ashley Jackson, 22, of Greenwood was charged by Ptl. Richard Kent with operating after suspension and violating conditions of release on River Street. Jackson was unable to post bail, was transported to the Oxford County Jail is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Nov. 2.

Assault:

On Aug. 18 – 9:01 p.m., Ptl. Miller investigated an incident of a female being assaulted on Route 2.

Criminal Mischief:

On Aug. 17 – 9:38 p.m., Act. Cpl. Mills investigated an incident where a vehicle window was damaged on Pine Street. No damage amount was listed.

On Aug. 18 – 9:09 a.m., Cpl. Maifeld investigated an incident where a door to a business on Hancock Street was damaged. Suspects to be interviewed.

On Aug.21 – 6:46 p.m., Ptl. Winson investigated an incident where rocks were thrown at a business on Prospect Avenue causing $500 damage.

On Aug. 24 – 5:40 a.m., Ptl. Kent investigated an ongoing incident of harassment, and a vehicle that was scratched on Maine Avenue. No damage amount was listed.

On Aug. 27 – 11:16 p.m., Ptl. Winson investigated four incidents of mailboxes being damaged on Wyman Hill Road. No damage amount was listed.

Wanted

Jeremy Gallant, 35, of Rumford is wanted on a Rumford District Court warrant for assault.
