LIVERMORE — Victory Christian Church, a local sponsor of “Back to Church Sunday,” invites everyone to church on Sunday, Sept. 12. Part of a national movement involving more than 3,000 churches, the event is designed to encourage un-churched and de-churched people to rediscover the value of being part of a local church.

LifeWay Research states that 82 percent of people say they would be open to attending church if a friend invited them, but only 21 percent of active church-going Christians invited someone to church last year.

Victory Christian Church, 1680 Federal Road, hopes to change the statistics by inviting everyone to attend church at 10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 12, as the pastor begins a new series entitled “ConNEXions – Discovering The Power of a Relevant Church.”

There will be live music, video, an interactive program for children ages 5 to 12 and a free gift for every first time visitor.
