Coach: Dustin Williamson (third year)

Returning players: Boys: Senior — Keith Lemelin; Sophomore — Tim Enos. Girls: Senior — Morgan Hill; Juniors — Emily Chase, Lucy Knowlton, Alana Mallar; Sophomores — Jackie Gauthier, Maddie Wiegman.

Key losses: Boys: Travis Adams, Dylan Chase, Derek Drouin, Cody Cyr, Bob McKinney, Ryan Fournier; Girls: Allison Fereshetian, Marlee Collins, Sam Varney.

Promising newcomers: Boys: Senior — Davis Roussseau; Junior — Jacob Harris; Freshman — Colby Varney. Girls: Senior — Natasha Smith; Freshmen — Rylee Knox, Abby Chase, Julie Harlow, Michaela Therrien.

Overview: Numbers are down very slightly but still strong, and Williamson says that Leavitt’s running motivation is up. Enos and Lemelin are the top returning runners from last year’s KVAC meet on the boys’ side. Knowlton and Mallar lead the girls. The boys finished sixth with the girls fifth in the conference a year ago, and the Hornets’ depth gives them a chance to match or surpass that.

Coach’s comment: “Our team goal is to make it to states. It is a very unified, talented and motivated team.” — Coach Dustin Williamson
