LEWISTON — Young Professionals of Lewiston-Auburn Area is looking for nominations of exceptional under-40s who live, work or volunteer in Androscoggin County for this year’s 2010 YPLAA awards.
The yearly awards are part of the group’s mission to strengthen a vibrant young professional community by promoting career, social and community development.
The group is seeking nominations for the following awards:
— Entrepreneur Award: a young professional 20-40 years old who has successfully started or expanded a business in the area.
— Community Involvement Award: a young professional who has exhibited proactive involvement in the community beyond their job duties.
— Against All Odds Award: a young professional who has become a success against all odds.
— Mentor Award: an individual, not necessarily 20-40, who has successfully impacted a young professional’s life to help them achieve success.
— Business Champion Award: a business, not necessarily owned by someone 20-40, that has supported young professionals in their organization to be a part of YPLAA and participate in events and other activities.

The awards will be presented at the YPLAA Annual Event and Awards ceremony Oct. 29 at the Franco-American Heritage Center.
