DIXFIELD — The Neighborly Senior Citizens met on Aug. 18 at the Dixfield Legion with 59 members present.
The meeting was called to order by President Connie Tutlis, who then gave several readings followed by the salute to the flag and the singing of God Bless America.
Celebrating August birthdays were Oscar Hebert, Faye Roy, Nila Martineau, Sandy Frost and Jean Nasatowicz. Oscar and Marion Hebert also celebrated their four-year anniversary.
Door prize winners were Bob Gardner and Beverly Childs. Entertainment was by Silver and Gold, Maurice Pare, Moe Beaule and Louise Parker.
The next meeting will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15, to be followed by a potluck dinner and nickel beano. Doors will be open to the public for beano at noon with game play from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.
There is still room on the bus to the Fryeburg Fair on Oct. 5. Pickup will be in Dixfield, Mexico and Bethel. A trip is also being planned for Monday, Dec. 6, to Indian Head Resort in Lincoln, N.H., for Christmas In the White Mountains. Cost is $58 each person.
