This is in response to V. Paul Reynolds’ Sept. 5 column, “Moose lottery needs big makeover.”

I realize that I don’t have all the statistics, but I do know a lot of people who have dropped out of the lottery because they never get picked, all the while watching others getting picked two, three, and even four times.

How fair is that?

Officials of Maine’s moose lottery could stand to learn a lot from other states about running a lottery if they would just open their eyes.
