Trustees meeting
PARIS — The Paris Utility District monthly trustees meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 20, at the Paris Utility District Office, 1 Paris Hill Road.
Project grad
SOUTH PARIS — The Oxford Hills Project Graduation Committee needs volunteers. Anyone interested should attend the committee meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 23, in the graphic arts room at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School.
Museum open
WEST PARIS — The West Paris Historical Society will open its museum to the public at the old Odd Fellows Hall on Main Street at 5 p.m. Monday, Sept. 20.
All are welcome to look around and check out the history of the town. There will be a potluck supper at 6 p.m. and a short business meeting at 7 p.m.
Those attending should call a member to let them know what they are bringint to the supper. Or contact Betty Jones at 674-2507.
Church service
BETHEL — A service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 19, at the historic East Bethel Church on Intervale Road. Pastor Ben B. Conant will preach the sermon and Stephen Seames will provide organ music. Everyone is welcome.
Poets to meet
ROCKLAND — The Maine Poets Society will meet Saturday, Sept. 18, at the Rockland Public Library. Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m. A $15 registration fee will include lunch. Nonmembers are welcome and invited to bring a sample of their work and stay to participate in a reading-in-the-round starting about 3 p.m.

Legion dance
SOUTH PARIS — The Jones Dance Band will play old-fashioned dance music from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18, at the Legion Hall on Church Street. The cost is $5.
