SOUTH PARIS — The American Cancer Society and the First Congregational Church will offer a Road to Recovery training and information session at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 16, at the church, 17 East Main St.

Volunteer drivers are needed for the Road to Recovery volunteer rides program. Everyday cancer patients in the area may struggle to find a ride to a medical facility for treatment. Some may miss their vital treatments simply because they lack transportation.

Those eligible to volunteer must own a safe and reliable vehicle, have a current driver’s license, proof of adequate auto insurance, a good driving record and a willingness to help others.
