SABATTUS — A funeral Mass honoring the life of Aline C. Labonte was celebrated on Thursday at Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Sabattus, following prayers at the Pinette and Lynch Funeral Home. The Rev. Nathan March celebrated the Mass and recited committal prayers at St. Peter’s Cemetery. At the beginning of the Mass, Aline’s son and daughter, Gary and Linda Labonte draped their mother’s casket with the burial pall that commemorates their mother’s Baptism into new life. During the Mass Aline’s grandson, Steve Labonte presented both the first reading and the prayer of the faithful. The offertory was brought to the altar by her son, Gary Labonte and her daughter, Sandra Parsons. Pallbearers were Gary, Bert and Roland Labonte, Craig Parsons, Roger Cloutier and Ron Larrivee. A reception of fellowship was held back at Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Sabattus, following the committal prayers at the cemetery.
