AUBURN – The fourth-annual Bob Boucher Memorial 5-kilometer run/walk is scheduled for Sunday at Saint Dominic Academy.

Bob Boucher was a longtime teacher, coach and athletic director at St. Dom’s. He had a spectacular 25-year career as St. Dom’s hockey coach, capturing five state titles. He was voted coach of the year five times. He also coached the varsity soccer team for 16 years, winning multiple championships, and started the school’s lacrosse and golf programs.

He was inducted into the Auburn/Lewiston Sports Hall of Fame in 2006. He also was inducted posthumously into the St. Dom’s Athletic Hall of Fame in 2008, receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award for his dedication to the athletic program while at St. Dom’s.

In memory of Boucher, this race was started to keep his legacy alive by supporting athletics. To register for the race in advance, contact the Alumni/Development Office at 782-6911 ext. 2108 or 2109 Friday.

Registrations also will be accepted the day of the race. Cash prizes will be awarded.
